Marta holds a dregree in geology and hydrogeology from the University of Barcelona and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Her research aims to replace traditional chemical disinfectants, like chlorine, with non-toxic alternatives, understand their mechanism of action, and produce a cost-effective disinfection protocols to be used in contingency situations.
