Turing secures €13.3 million funding to scale AI solutions
AI-powered water management solutions company Turing has secured €13.3 million in a funding round led by Safar Partners that will help drive global expansion and enhance its water solutions.
From Gradiant spin-off to leasing AI provider
Turing became its own company in 2023, following Gradiant’s strategic partnerships with Synauta, and SpaceAge Labs. Turing, which operates in both water and land management, utilises both AI and industrial internet of things (IIoT) to offer solutions in the utility sector for both water treatment and water network management under its flagship TOP Clear platform.
The latest investment will accelerate Turing’s global expansion and enhance TOP Clear, which provides end-to-end digital solutions, and SmartOps AI, its exclusive water management platform for industrial treatment.
Hiep Le, CEO of Turing, told media: “Our mission is to redefine how industries and municipalities manage water resources. With this funding, we will scale our AI-powered platforms, accelerate global expansion, and equip our customers with the tools to reduce downtime, optimize performance, and improve sustainability.”
He added: “As the world’s water challenges grow increasingly complex, the need for Real-time Operational Intelligence (ROI) using experimental and artificial intelligence has never been greater, and that’s exactly what we’re building.”
What does Turing offer in the water sector?
Unlike traditional SCADA or standalone analytics tools, Turing’s solutions seamlessly integrate with any water management platform, meeting customers wherever they are on their digital journey. This works across both water treatment and network systems.
Leveraging AI-powered automation, IIoT, and industry expertise, Turing’s platforms offer real-time control and monitoring, advanced anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and intelligent decision-making. This holistic approach drives optimisation across the water lifecycle, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and sustainability at every stage.
Nader Motamedy, managing partner of Safar Partners, told media: “Investing in Turing is an investment in the future of intelligent water management. Their unique combination of AI, IIoT, and deep domain expertise creates a comprehensive platform that not only identifies inefficiencies but actively optimises water treatment and distribution. As the demand for smarter infrastructure grows, Turing is positioned to lead the industry forward.”
AI-driven water solutions
TOP Clear Water Treatment is an AI-powered platform that provides water treatment solutions for optimal performance, sustainability, and reliability. It has been designed to address a number of challenges for the sector, including: Lack of skilled labour; limited visibility; insufficient use of data; reactive maintenance; human error.
Real-time data streaming and Machine Learning detect anomalies and predict future events, helping to improve productivity. The platform also offers modular packages, including asset performance management, O&M management, data management, and system integration.
TOP Clear Water Networks is an intuitive platform that has been designed for operations, maintenance, and planning teams to manage wastewater and stormwater networks. The platform also offers modular packages, including network performance management, data management and sensor data collection that can be combined to suit customer needs.
The AI and IIoT software works with durable wireless sensor hardware, providing 360-degree, real-time network visibility. Turing also offers customers Expertise as a Service (EaaS).
Partnerships, growth, and research and development
The funding will enable Turing to:
- Enhance AI capabilities within TOP Clear and SmartOps AI to optimise water treatment, wastewater processing, and network performance
- Expand operations in key markets, including North America, Europe, and the Middle East
- Accelerate R&D for next-generation predictive and autonomous water management solutions
- Strengthen partnerships with utilities, industrial water users, and government agencies to pilot industry-wide adoption of AI-powered water management platforms
With aging infrastructure, rising operational costs, and growing water and labour scarcity concerns, utilities and industries face increasing pressure to modernize water systems. Turing’s AI solutions empower clients to proactively minimise operational disruptions, maximise asset life, and achieve significant cost savings, all while ensuring regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.
